We are located in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle, near the Lenin statue in the Space building.
Michael Sakuma, Ph.D.

I have taught psychology for over 20 years at both the undergraduate and graduate levels including many students who went on to become clinical psychologists themselves.
I have studied at the University of Washington (UW) outpatient psychiatry unit, the UW pain clinic and the neuropsychological assessment unit. In addition, I spent a post-doctoral year at Oxford University studying brain change associated with persistent mental illness.
My approach can be described as “integrative” – informed from many different scientifically supported therapies, customized to your particular situation. I look forward to being your partner in trying to help you get where you want to be in life.
Joanna Manzi-Sakuma, MSW, LICSW.

“What are you actively doing now to create the life you want?”
I endeavor to help people recognize thoughts, behaviors and patterns that might be getting in the way of living their most fulfilling lives. My approach is gentle, supportive and action-oriented. I specialize in working with individuals who wish to learn how to overcome fear-based thinking and self-doubt, and who wish accountability support to be able to move towards desired goals. Part of this is helping people combine the learning of new skills with their innate strengths.
Although I prefer our time in person, I offer remote counseling sessions when appropriate.
